Meet the Trainers

Tiara

TiaraTiara is a graduate of Shawnee State University.  She has worked in the fitness field for a total of 17 years. Her fitness career started at American Electric Power in their Corporate Fitness program.  She then went to the YMCA where she worked as a Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer and Fitness Coordinator for 15 years.  Tiara holds several National Fitness certifications including Personal Training, Kick-boxing , Longevity for Seniors, Prenatal Exercise, Step Aerobics, Zumba and Pilates.  Tiara enjoys working with the DSCC workforce to help them meet their fitness goals and needs.

BethAnn

BethAnnBeth Ann has been an athlete since she was 10, and brings many years of experience to the DSCC Fitness Center. Her experience has ranged from working with Professional athletes, OSU athletes, to teaching fitness for children. Past experience has been with YMCA of Columbus, City of Hilliard Recreation and Pool facilities, McConnell Heart Health Center, and Metro V Athletic Club. Along with being a Licensed Massage Therapist for the past 20 years, Beth Ann is also busy with her 2 athletic teenage daughters.

Matt

MattMatt is a graduate of Ohio University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. He currently holds certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (C.S.C.S.) and the Cooper Institute (CI-CPT). Matt has over five years of experience in the fitness industry, serving as a collegiate strength coach and personal trainer before arriving at the DSCC Fitness Center. Matt specializes in weight loss management, lean mass gains, and performance enhancement training.

Rachel

RachelRachel has been a fitness enthusiast and personal trainer for five years. She graduated cum laude from Otterbein University in 2009 with a B.A. in Health and Sport Science. Rachel is a certified personal trainer through ACSM and the Cooper Institute.  Rachel finds instructing group exercise classes (such as indoor cycling, boot camp, LIFT, kick boxing and circuits) both fun and challenging. She also leads weekly PT for military units and the the DSCC Fire Department. Rachel has experience working with a variety of customers including expectant and new mothers, youth, and seniors. When not at work, Rachel likes hiking, running, biking and cooking healthy meals.

Eddie

Prior to training at DSCC, Eddie was a Unit Fitness Leader in the Navy. He led sailors in group physical training and conducted bi-annual fitness evaluations. Was a former coach of several youth basketball programs and Eddie also coordinated regular 5k runs while deployed overseas. Trained at Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas Eddie has a passion for personal training and helping others achieve results. His area of specialty is weight/resistance training, healthy weight loss, and working with those beginning their health and fitness journey. He is currently pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy.
