Outdoor Adventure Program
No matter the weather, it is always a good day to be outside. The Outdoor Adventure Program is dedicated to providing the opportunities to actively participate in outdoor adventure pursuits, while emphasizing skills development, environmental awareness, and personal empowerment through adventure. Even if you’re a beginner and haven’t spent much time outdoors, you will enjoy our day hikes to parks all around the state. For those a bit more familiar with nature, we offer camping, backpacking biking, skiing trips and more!

DSCCMWR Outdoor Recreation Terms, Conditions & Policies
Outdoor Adventure Program Policies:
- ELIGIBILITY: DSCC Outdoor Recreation (ODR) and Outdoor Adventure Programs are available to all DLA associates in good standing* assigned to the DSCC, and their immediate family members, with valid identification. Minors under the age of eighteen years of age are not eligible to reserve equipment, sign rental agreements, check in or out rental equipment nor sign up for or attend trips without a guardian. ODR is also available to active-duty military, reservists, military dependents, 100% service connected disabled veterans, military & DoD retirees and DoD contractor’s with valid identification. Veterans Administration employees are eligible with an annual fee and valid identification.
*“In good standing” is defined as a patron with no outstanding charges, late fees, damage/replacement fees, cancellation fees, unreturned items or other outstanding fees owed to the DSCC ODR Program.
- TRANSPORTATION POLICY: The Outdoor Adventure Program can accommodate transportation for a limited number of people (please call or see individual flyers for details). All trips have a minimum for attendants; trips that do not meet the minimum will be cancelled and refunds will be issued. Respective trip minimums are listed on each individual trip flier.
- CANCELLATIONS: Trips run entirely through ODR can be cancelled 3 full business days prior to the trip. Destination trips will follow cancellation policy of trip location. Please reference flier or call Fitness Center at (614)692-3084 for detailed information. ODR does not cancel/refund due to bad weather; however, in the case of extreme weather that could threaten the safety of participants, trips may be cancelled. ODR also reserves the right to cancel any trip because of low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. ODR shall have no liability for the cancellation of a trip. If a refund is due, ODR’s preferred method of credit card payments will be refunded immediately in the Fitness Center. Cash/Check payments will be mailed to your preferred address within 7 to 30 business days. Please make sure we have current contact information.
- OTHER POLICIY NOTES: Waivers & medical release forms must be completed, signed and turned in prior to trip. Some trips may have group/co-ed housing in tents, shelters, hotels or bunkhouses. If this is a concern, please contact ODR prior to registration. Trips will start and end at a specific location. If participant is not at the designated site on time, ODR will not delay the start of the trip.
